I Propose

..I propose..

Boy, I've been quite busy the last few days I haven't had a moment to share! But I'm back now in romantic little bloggerland and I'm excited to talk about Valentines day proposals! An estimated 220,000 american couples were newly engaged this valentines day! That's a whole lot of love and excitement still dancing in the air.
If you're anything like me, I LOVE to hear of how one proposed to their new fiancée. I especially love anything original and creative. I grin from ear to ear and fidget with excitement, it's one of my most favorite love stories to listen to, even if I don't know the couple's personally. With Valentines day just passed and the glow of newly engaged couples still bright, I thought I'd share a couple of my favorites that made me smile inside and out.

It was early Valentines evening and Julia rushed upstairs to take a shower and get ready for valentines dinner with her boyfriend Adam, he was exceptionally early for once.
Adam was already dressed and ready so he opened a bottle of wine downstairs and poured two glasses. One for Julia and one for his nerves... He was never ready this early but tonight he had a plan! He grabbed Julia's phone from the counter and snuck half way up the stairs so that he could hear the shower running. One ear to the bathroom and a phone in each hand... he opened up both of their phones and went to work...
Step 1. Text the photo his friend took for him earlier with his phone to Julia's phone. 2. Open the text on Julia's phone and save the photo to her photo library. 3. Change the photo ID  for his number in her phone from last years air balloon ride to the dashing photo he just sent and saved. 4. Final step... Change his name in her phone from "Adam" to "Make my Dreams come true" ... All was set!
Julia came down stairs dressed and ready, kissed Adam and took a sip of her wine as he handed it to her.
"You look beautiful as always"  said Adam... "But you're missing something". Julia looked over at him but became sidetracked by her phone ringing on the counter.... She reached for  her phone...
"Make my dreams come true mobile???" she said slowly and confused,  she then looked over at Adam as if for clarity... And there he was,  just like the photo, on one knee holding the black velvet box containing a to-die for diamond ring. He picked up his phone from the floor beside him and said " The rest of your life is calling, are you going to answer?
let's just say... she DID NOT hit decline... and they DID NOT make that dinner reservation:)

Last year for Valentines day, Grace handmade her boyfriend Trevor a little coupon book. There were 12 coupons and Trevor was allowed to use one coupon per month in any order. Grace made them for such things as a sexy lingerie photo shoot, making dinner in the nude, a whole weekend  with 100% no interference from phone or internet... little things like that.
The 12th and last coupon was an open coupon. It said "Use this coupon for anything your heart desires".
A year later, this Valentines day 2012,  after a great evening together, Trevor decided to bring out his last and final coupon.
"Anything my hearts desires..." He reads to Grace with a little smile.
Grace laughs, "I know... you want a massage!".
Trevor then stood up, knelt  down in front of her and said, "All that my hearts desires is for you to be mine forever... I give you back this coupon in exchange for your promise to be my wife".           And with that he pulled her ring from his pocket and presented it to his now fiance Grace.

...And a cupcake for fun :)
